The Redskins still haven’t shut down tight end Jordan Reed, even though he’s reportedly dealing with headaches today. The rookie has missed four consecutive games with lingering concussion symptoms and conflicting reports have been circulating about whether or not the Redskins will shut him down.
Reed’s concussion has kept him sidelined since sustaining the injury Week 11 and he’s still not made it through the battery of NFL concussion tests. Over the weekend, Coach Mike Shanahan says that the team had no plans on shutting down Reed, but his lingering headaches are a very bad sign.
The Redskins have nothing left to play for but pride and risking the health of Reed makes no sense at all. Fantasy owners should consider adding Logan Paulsen to the mix. He just missed a touchdown in the back of the end zone against the Falcons and is definitely a good-looking red zone target.
