Jets Back Chris Ivory Looks to Swamp the Fins

If Ivory plays against the Dolphins, he is a must-start

New York Jets running back Chris Ivory has been dealing with a sprained ankle that has kept him a limited participant in practice throughout the week. Ivory did practice in full on Friday in preparation for his Week 13 matchup against the Miami Dolphins.

The 4th year back out of Tiffin University has a favorable matchup if he does suit up on Sunday. The Dolphins are giving up more than 120 rush yards per game this season. They have been very generous to opposing running backs giving up over 21 fantasy points per game to the position which ranks around 30th worst in the NFL.

The Jets have had no choice but to be committed to the run this season. Rookie starting quarterback Geno Smith has done a terrible job of taking care of the football. Smith has thrown a league leading 18 interceptions coming into Week 13 with just 8 touchdowns and 4 lost fumbles.

Jets head coach Rex Ryan will once again look to the ground game for stability on offence against a pathetic Dolphins run defense. This could lead to a big stat line for Ivory come Sunday. Monitor Ivory’s status until Sunday morning, if he is playing get him in your lineup as a solid 2nd running back or flex.
