Moreno is long shot to play Week 13 as he deals with a bad bone bruise

In Sunday night’s devastating loss to the New England Patriots, Knowshon Moreno rushed for a career high 224 yards, but was seen in crutches and left in a walking boot.

Denver Broncos interim head coach, Jack Del Rio, told the media that Moreno has not been officially proclaimed out for the Broncos Week 13 matchup against the divisional rival Kansas City Chiefs. Moreno is day to day with a bruised ankle.

Knowshon Moreno consistently puts up phenomenal fantasy numbers, having rushed for 824 yards and 9 touchdowns, and caught 38 passes for 342 and another touchdown.

If Moreno is ruled out for Sunday, the next to step up will most likely be rookie running back Montee Ball. Ball has had more carries than fellow Broncos backs, Ronnie Hillman and CJ Anderson, but suffers from a fumbling problem. Del Rio will most likely utilize all of the backs, but Ball will be the goal-line back.
