Bears quarterback Jay Cutler hopes to make a return to action for Monday’s Week 14 contest with the Dallas Cowboys. After being ruled out for Week 13, Cutler said he would be “pretty disappointed” if he could not be back to face Dallas the following week.
Cutler has been making progress on ankle injury that has kept him sidelined for their last two games, saying he has seen improvement.
“We’re getting there. I feel a lot better than I felt last week,” Cutler stated.
Cutler’s fantasy owners can expect Cutler to be a high end QB2 if he’s able to return for Week 14, and there on out as he looks to will his team into the playoffs. The value of offensive weapons in wide receivers Alshon Jeffery and Brandon Marshall, as well as running back Matt Forte shall remain constant. They should be expected to continue to produce heavily moving forward.
Bears fans have been spoiled by the emergence of back-up QB Josh McCown in Cutler’s absence, as he has lead them to two straight victories. Cutler would still be the more talented option to have under center, but rushing him back is not imminent as the Bears have been able to win without him.
The Bears best chances are if their quarterback is healthy and back in action, and he most likely will not play unless proven to be completely recovered from his injury.
