The verdict is out and Chip Kelly has announced that Nick Foles will remain the Philadelphia Eagles starter. There really should not have been that much debate as Foles has outperformed the banged up veteran Michael Vick.
The Eagles made a great decision keeping Foles at the helm. He’s been the spark they were looking for to keep them close in the NFC Least. Foles has thrown for 16 touchdowns and zero interceptions this year.
Even when Foles didn’t throw a touchdown, he still had a productive day. He threw for 298 yards and added 47 rushing yards and a rushing touchdown. During his last 4 games, Foles has rushed for 124 yards. This is a minor part of his game, but fantasy owners won’t complain when he tucks the ball and runs.
Foles was named the starter for a reason. The Eagles are a stout 4 and 1 with Foles as the team’s starter. Foles has put up great numbers, even without his monster 7 touchdown performance against the Raiders.
It looks like Chip Kelly and the Eagles have finally found their quarterback of the future.
