Week 12 is here and so is your weekly fantasy quarterback sit and start report. With many starting quarterbacks out with injury, taking advantage of this week’s matchups is very important.

Start:

Colin Kaepernick- San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick has been somewhat of a disappointment so far this season, throwing for 1,802 yards, 11 touchdowns and 7 interceptions. Week 12 has Kaepernick and the 49ers traveling to Washington on Monday night. The Redskins possess the NFL’s seventh worst pass defense and just the 19th best rush defense. These weaknesses will play favorably into Kaepernick’s skill set, so fantasy owners should give him the nod for Week 12.

Tom Brady- In arguably one of the most anticipated games of the season so far, Tom Brady and the New England Patriots will face Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos. As talented as the Denver team is, their pass defense has been their weakness thus far. Through their first eleven games, the Broncos secondary has allowed an average of 279.1 yards per game through the air. With Ridley struggling in Week 11, expect the Patriots offense to rely on Brady and Rob Gronkowski’s uncanny connection much more.

Sit:

Ben Roethlisberger- Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger went off against the Detroit Lions in Week 11, throwing for 367 yards and 4 touchdowns. Fantasy owners should not jump onto the Roethlisberger bandwagon quite yet as he will face a stingy Cleveland Browns secondary that ranks fourth in the NFL. Sit Ben Roethlisberger in Week 12.

Carson Palmer- Similar to Roethlisberger, Cardinals quarterback Carson Palmer had his best game of the season in Week 11, throwing for 419 yards and 2 touchdowns against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Before Week 11 Palmer had thrown for 12 touchdowns and an unfortunate 15 interceptions. Fantasy owners should not expect another performance like Week 11, as the Cardinals will face a more formidable opponent in the Indianapolis Colts.
