Denver Broncos wide receiver Wes Welker has yet to return to practice since suffering a concussion during Week 12’s game against the Kansas City Chiefs. Welker has yet to practice this week as the team prepares to take on The Patriots in Week 12.
Teammates Peyton Manning and Julius Thomas accompanied Welker on the sideline during Wednesdays practice.
Sources close to the Broncos organization informed ESPN that Welker is “expected to be ok” for this Sunday’s showdown against the Pats.
Welker will take on his former team of 6 years on Sunday night and if on the field, he could put up a monster stat line. The 9 time pro bowler is having another outstanding season and is tied for third in the NFL with 9 receiving touchdowns. Whenever Welker takes the field, he is always a top five receiving option.
Fantasy owners should keep a close eye on the former Texas Tech Red Raider. If he continues to miss practice the rest of the week, look for a possible replacement for his spot in your lineup before Sunday.
