Jacksonville Jaguars running back Maurice Jones-Drew is not having the year we have come to expect from him. He has yet to go over 100 yards on the ground and is averaging a career low 2.9 yards per carry.
If you drafted Jones-Drew as your second running back or even flex option you have probably attempted to hit the free agency to replace him with a more productive player.
If you haven’t been paying attention, the 5’7 210 pound back has rumbled his way into the end zone two weeks in a row and is looking to make it three in a row this week against a struggling Houston Texan defense.
After starting the season as a top run defending team, the Texans have struggled to shut down any backfield especially the past two weeks. They have allowed lackluster teams such as the Raiders and Cardinals to run for an average of 131 yards per game, and now take on a Jaguars team that is determined to get MJD and the run game going.
MJD certainly has a good opportunity to extend his scoring streak to 3 in a row as he faces the Texans during Week 12.
