49ers running back Frank Gore has been a solid option for fantasy owners throughout the 2013 NFL season. Since Week 4 Gore has really turned it up averaging 93 yards and a touchdown on the ground.
In week 11 the 9 year veteran takes on the 7-2 Saints in the Superdome. The Saints’ defense have taken some big strides since becoming statistically the worst defense in NFL history last season. Rob Ryan has helped turn things around and they are now among the elite defenses in the league this year.
Last week Gore was put to the test against a tough Panther defense and still averaged 5.1 yards per carry. The Saints defense are not quite as stout against the run so owners should expect similar if not better results.
Gore has shown us he still has some gas in the tank as he approaches age 31 in May. The 4 time pro bowler has great vision, especially in between the tackles and knows when to turn on the jets. This will help him carve up a well-coached Saint defense.
