Jacksonville Jaguars have been surprisingly pass happy through the first half of the 2013 NFL season. Their receiving core has seen a boost in production because of the change in the offensive game plan this year.
With the news of Justin Blackmons indefinite suspension due to his violation of the NFL’s substance abuse policy, Mike Brown, Cecil Shorts and Ace Sanders are the only receivers left to garner all the targets.
Cecil Shorts is owned in almost all leagues and Sanders looks to be sliding out of fantasy relevance. This leaves owners with no choice but to grab 2nd year receiver Mike Brown from free agency. In Browns second year with the Jaguars, he has compiled 226 yards on 13 catches and a touchdown in four games.
The Jaguars have some favorable matchups this second half of the season and Brown has been hot the past few weeks, averaging around 10 points per game since returning from a back injury.
The former Liberty Flame should see a rise in targets with Blackmon now out of the lineup. He is owned in 23% of CBS leagues, and is definitely worth a pick up.
