Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Roddy White will be held out of this week’s contest vs. The Bucs with a hamstring/ankle injury. Missing a game seems like it has been a long time coming to White and might be just what the doctor ordered.

Rowdy Roddy White has never missed a game in his illustrious 9 year career. His consecutive game streak will come to an end at 133.

White’s has been as reliable a player as they come to the Falcons and to fantasy owners. The former UAB Blazer hasn’t had less than 1100 yards receiving in any season since 2006.

White’s fantasy value is at an all-time low so far this season. It seems like he cannot get healthy enough to put up the numbers we know he’s capable of. With Julio Jones out for the year, the Falcons need White to get healthy and help them win games.

White owners should be thrilled that he is finally sitting out a game. He’s been a must start dud until this point and may actually benefit from this time off. Monitor his progress through his week of rest. It looks like Coach Mike Smith is doing whatever he can to get White healthy again.
