The Seattle Seahawks $67 million dollar man, Percy Harvin, may actually begin practicing next week. Harvin had to miss the first half of the season after undergoing preseason hip surgery. He was not expected back until Week 13, but is now targeting Week 8.
Fantasy owners should be skeptical about Harvin’s return. A torn labrum typically takes at least 3 months to recover from and Harvin suffered the injury towards the end of July. The Seahawks spent a ton of money on Harvin and will be careful not to rush him back before he is actually ready to play.
The good news is that fantasy owners who drafted Harvin to stash on their bench could have a quicker payoff than they originally anticipated. The coaches say he could start practicing as early as Tuesday and that’s a huge plus for owners.
There are many questions right now about how much playing time Harvin will get once he returns, but he needs to be 100% owned across all fantasy leagues.
