Calvin Johnson Owners Face Game Time Call

Fantasy owners counting on Megatron to play Week 6

Fantasy owners counting on Megatron to suit up for Week 6

After missing last Sunday against the Green Bay Packers, Detroit Lions play maker Calvin Johnson has been limited in practice this week with a knee injury. After Thursday’s practice, Johnson reported that his right knee felt “good” and plans to play against the Cleveland Browns.

Johnson has missed practices before and still showed up to play the next game. That’s why fantasy owners were surprised to see that Johnson was left out of the line up against the Packers during Week 5. The coaching staff is keeping their mouths shut on Megatron’s injury and claim that he will be a game time decision.

The Lions need Johnson on the field as their wide receiver corps is stretched thin with Nate Burleson out with a broken arm and tight end Tony Scheffler on the bench with a concussion. If the star receiver sits out another game, the Lions will be left with Ryan Broyles, Kris Durham and the newly acquired Kevin Ogletree to fill some pretty big shoes.

The entire offense runs through Calvin as he stretches the field and allows other team mates like Reggie Bush to gash the defense.

Fantasy owners are left in a ‘hope for the best and plan for the worst situation.’ In other words, expect Johnson to play, but have a backup ready to plug in for Sunday morning.
