Sit and Start Fantasy Football Report for Week 6

Look for DeMarco Murray to run right through the Redskins

Look for DeMarco Murray to run right through the Redskins defense

Week 6 is just around the corner and it’s time to start tweaking and re-tweaking your fantasy lineups. With several good fantasy teams on a bye week, it’s imperative that you are sitting and starting the right players.

DeMarco Murray- The Cowboys are coming off a tough “moral victory” after the team’s last minute loss to the Denver Broncos in Week 5. However, their matchup gets much more favorable Sunday night when they take on division rival Washington Redskins. Luckily for DeMarco Murray, the Redskins possess the second worst rush defense in the league right now, giving up an average of 142.2 yards per game. So start Murray with confidence.

Vincent Jackson- The Buccaneers offense has gone into a downward spiral as of late. Lucky for them, the Eagles pass defense is also spiraling downward and rookie quarterback Mike Glennon has a cannon of an arm. Expect Jackson to rebound from his poor performance during Week 4, especially after coming off a bye week where he could get more reps with the rookie quarterback.

Greg Olsen- The Carolina Panthers face the Minnesota Vikings this week. Cam Newton has developed a great connection with his tight end Greg Olsen this season, connecting on 21 of their 30 targets. The Vikings have the fourth worst pass defense in the league, so expect Newton to throw the ball a lot this week.

Jared Cook- The Houston Texans pass defense is very good, which is bad news for Sam Bradford and his tight end Jared Cook. To be specific, the Texans have given up an average of 134.2 yards per game through the air this season and should have no problem containing the Rams pass offense which just barely ranks in the top half of the league. Keep Cook on the bench anytime the Rams face a top-ten pass defense.

Maurice Jones-Drew- The Jacksonville Jaguars offense has been dreadful this season and Maurice Jones-Drew has pretty much been a no-show. It’s no secret that the Jags have scored less points this entire season than the Broncos average points per game. Not only is the Denver offense beastly so far this season, they also boast the best rush defense in the league. Expect Maurice Jones-Drew to struggle along with the entire Jacksonville team this week against the Broncos.

Larry Fitzgerald- The days of Larry Fitzgerald being a fantasy stud at the wide receiver position are sadly coming to an end and it’s not his fault. The Cardinals inability to bring in the next Kurt Warner has hurt his production immensely. L-Fitz and the Cardinals head to San Francisco this week to take on the stifling 49ers pass defense that is currently giving up an average of 188.8 yards per game through the air, best for second in the NFL.

Cardinals quarterback Carson Palmer has not been producing as advertised since coming to Arizona in the offseason and their matchup with the 49ers does not bode well at all for Fitzgerald.
