Texans Tight End Garrett Graham In, Owen Daniels Out in Houston

Another week of NFL action goes by and yet another top performer goes down to injury. Houston Texans tight end Owen Daniels suffered what the team is calling a non-displaced fibula fracture, and was placed on the short term IR list.

The 2 time Pro Bowler is a model of consistency, which is not an easy find at the tight end position. Replacing Daniels is going to be tough, but owners can start by picking up his backup Garrett Graham who is owned in 63% of leagues. Despite being second string to Daniels, Graham has managed the same amount of touchdowns with 3 and similar fantasy numbers.

Daniels expects to return this season, but could miss up to 8 weeks with the injury. This will put him back in action around Week 13 of the regular season. For fantasy owners, that means crunch time. Either playoffs will have started in leagues or will start the following week.

Owners should definitely look to replace the former Wisconsin Badger, but keep him in the IR spot in case he returns sooner than expected.
