Houston Texans wide receiver Andre Johnson might be without his long time quarterback Matt Schaub in upcoming weeks. Johnson has collected almost 7,000 yards since 2008 with Schaub as his quarterback.
Schaub may be surrounded by one of the NFL’s best teams. The team has the 3rd ranked defense in the league with Johnson and a two headed monster backfield featuring Arian Foster and Ben Tate. Schaub set an ominous NFL record during Week 5 by throwing a pick-six in his fourth consecutive game. He has more interceptions (9) than any other quarterback in the game except for Eli Manning who has 12.
If there is a change at quarterback, T.J. Yates will be delivering the passes. The question that’s eating at fantasy owners is how this will impact Andre Johnson. Johnson’s numbers will surely dip, but he is an extremely talented receiver and should produce no matter who is behind center.
Staying healthy is the only concern with Johnson, but his quarterback should have nothing to do with that. Continue to start Johnson in all formats as long as he is on the field.
