It looks as if the savior to all of the Patriots passing problems, Rob Gronkowski, is going to play this week against the New Orleans Saints.
Fantasy owners who took the chance on Gronkowski have been greatly disappointed that he has still yet to play one down this year. The talk in Patriots camp is optimistic this early in the week and they expect him to be productive on Sunday.
The question is what can you expect from Gronkowski this week from a fantasy stand point?
We know that Gronk is one of the most beloved targets of Tom Brady. He will be a sight for sore eyes for the frustrated Brady as he has had to deal with rookie receivers and their growing pains. Gronkowski was a fantasy stud last year posting 11 touchdowns and 790 yards when he was healthy.
Fantasy owners should be excited to hear that Gronkowski has been cleared to play against New Orleans. Expect Gronkowki to get plenty of looks on Sunday because when he is healthy, he’s a nightmare for linebackers and other defenders to cover. We might even be treated to one of those vintage Gronk spikes if he and Brady can rekindle their chemistry quickly.
