If You Want to Trade a quarterback, Don’t Trash Him First. That should be words to live by for the Tampa Buccaneers organization that released Josh Freeman today getting absolutely nothing in return. (SHOCKER!!)
The genius front office in Tampa still has to shell out $6.25 million to the troubled quarterback after they conducted one of the better smear campaigns in recent NFL history.
Despite all of his erratic behavior problems, Freeman is at least a top-25 quarterback and should land a backup job somewhere in the league. Whichever team decides to sign him, will have to deal with a media circus coming to town. However, the 25-year-old still has enough quarterback talent left to be worth the initial trouble.
