Redskins stand out running back, Alfred Morris, insists that the rib injury that knocked him out of a Week 4 matchup against the Raiders is not serious. He’s been diagnosed with bruised ribs and will use the Redskins Week 5 bye week to recover. Week 6 is a huge “NFC Least” matchup against the division leading (2-2) Dallas Cowboys.
Morris should be a number 1 or 2 running back option during Week 6 if his healing process goes well.
Morris is starting the season off on a bit of a down note because the Redskins have been forced on numerous occasions to abandon the run. The Washington defense keeps collapsing, which in turn leads to double-digit deficits. That’s when RG3 takes to the air, while Morris goes into pass protection mode.
Even so, Morris has done well this season, accumulating 296 yards rushing with 2 touchdowns.
