Three Sneaky Tight End Plug-Ins for Week 4

Its Week 4 in the world of fantasy football and that means the first round of bye weeks are here. If you need help in the tight end category this week, there are a few sneaky players that you may want to plug in before the games start.

Scott Chandler:

Bills tight end Scott Chandler hauled in five passes for 79 yards and a score last week against the Jets. There’s no reason he can’t duplicate that effort during Week 4 against the Ravens.

Chandler and rookie quarterback E.J. Manuel are developing a noticeable chemistry and the Ravens give up plenty of fantasy points to tight ends. If you need help at tight end this week, he could provide a spark for your team.

Charles Clay:

Clay has been targeted at least six times a game since the beginning of the season. He had a huge game during Week 2 against the Colts where he caught 5 passes for 109 yards and scored a rushing touchdown.

So far during the 2013 season, the Saints have been one of the best teams at shutting down the tight end position. But this doesn’t mean that Clay can’t make a dent in the Saints defense. Don’t expect the world from Clay during this Monday Night matchup, but if you are desperate for a tight end, he’s worth a shot.

Jermaine Gresham:

Cincy tight end Jermaine Gresham caught at least 4 passes in each of the Bengals first three games. The Bengals are traveling to Cleveland for Week 4 to face a Browns team fresh off of a big win in Minnesota.

Cleveland is very good at stopping the run which will force Cincinnati to pass early and often. The Browns are also very tough on tight ends, but Gresham has been more productive than rookie Tyler Eifert and should get a few good looks during Week 4.

He’s the weakest play of the three tight ends, but could still provide 4-5 fantasy points for your team on the day.
