Andre Johnson says he will play Week 4 against the visiting Seattle Seahawks.
Johnson was clearly in pain after taking a hit in Week 3 against the Ravens and eventually left the game with a shin injury. His X-rays have come up negative and the injury has been identified as a simple shin bruise. However, despite good news from the x-ray machine, Johnson missed practice Wednesday, and only participated in individual drills on Thursday.
So far this season, Andre Johnson has brought in 20 passes for 222 yards and has yet to find the end zone. It won’t be any easier this week as Johnson faces a very stingy Seahawks defense.
If you are looking for a fill in to go for Johnson, you might want to consider Santonio Holmes. Holmes was targeted 10 times during Week 3 and ended up with 154 yards and a touchdown. Holmes has been building chemistry with rookie quarterback Geno Smith and could see a lot of balls coming his way during Week 4 against the Titans. Also, for good measure, Holmes is likely the only receiver on the waiver wire with more than 350 career catches.
