If you are a fantasy owner looking to stay a step ahead of the game, you might want to consider adding Jacksonville Jaguars backup running back Jordan Todman.
The Jaguars starting running bacl Maurice Jones Drew missed a majority of the 2012 season and is now dealing with a left ankle sprain suffered during the team’s Week 2 loss to Oakland. Jones Drew will most likely suit for Sunday’s game, but is going up against a crushing Seattle defense.
The Jaguars will be without starting quarterback Blain Gabbert, which could also be bad news for the former league leading rusher.
Todman looked great in preseason rushing for 163 yards and two touchdowns on 20 carries. He’s owned in 4% of fantasy leagues and should definitely be picked up by MJD owners and anyone willing to take a little risk for a possible big reward. He’s not a guy you want to start against Seattle, but he could pay big dividends down the line if Jones-Drew ends up missing any significant time.
