49ers tight end Vernon Davis was forced out of Sunday’s matchup vs Seattle with a hamstring injury and is officially questionable for Week 3 against Indianapolis.
Davis had 3 catches for 20 yards before leaving the game early in the fourth quarter. He did not return although the game was out of reach.
The all pro tight end was held out of practice all week, despite some light work on the sideline Friday. Davis is one of the NFL’s iron men and he hasn’t missed a game since 2007. He will most likely suit up in this home tussle against Indianapolis.
In Davis’s first home game this year, he hauled in 6 catches for 98 yards and two touchdowns. The Colts are giving up the 10th most fantasy points to tight ends. If Davis does suit up, consider him a solid start.
