Falcons running back Steven Jackson is out for Week 3 and could miss even more time.
Falcons coach Mike Smith said that Jackson would be out at least 2-3 weeks, which puts Jackson fantasy owners in a real bind.
There’s nothing worse for fantasy owners than an injury that’s left with an open time table. The Falcons will split carries between Jacquizz Rogers and Jason Snelling, hoping that one of them can be the go-to-guy while Jackson recovers.
They will be a hot pickup on tomorrow’s waiver wire, but neither back can be trusted to put up too many points.
For the time being, the Falcons running game will see limited action while the team will rely more heavily on quarterback Matt Ryan and their extremely talented receiving corps.
