Dez Bryant fantasy owners have reason to be somewhat optimistic after the Cowboys receiver was a limited participant in practice on Wednesday.
Bryant injured his foot during Week 1 in the Cowboys win over the Giants. An MRI revealed that Bryant has a mild foot sprain and is questionable for the Cowboys game against the Chiefs this weekend.
The fact that he was on the practice field at all is a good sign for Bryant and the Cowboys.
The Chiefs may present Dallas with a tougher than expected matchup on Sunday. Kansas City showed off an impressive secondary against the Jags during Week 1. Though they were facing a vulnerable Blaine Gabbert at quarterback, the Chiefs held Jacksonville to 171 passing yards and forced 2 interceptions.
Cornerbacks Sean Smith and Brandon Flowers were highly effective and will look to continue their dominance when Dallas comes to town this weekend. It wouldn’t be a big surprise if Tony Romo threw a couple of picks in this game, but that doesn’t mean he can’t rack up some yards and touchdowns.
If Bryant is fairly healthy, Romo and the Cowboys should be able to score more than enough points to take care of the Chiefs in Kansas City.
