The Pittsburgh Steelers are in dire straights after losing two key starters for the season during yesterday’s embarrassing defeat to the Tennessee Titans.
First, Pro-Bowl center Maurkice Pouncey was lost for the season after tearing the ACL and MCL in his right knee. Then the Steelers lost veteran inside linebacker Larry Foote for the season after he tore his bicep muscle.
Pouncey’s injury is a torn ACL and MCL in his right knee. He is arguably one of the best centers in the NFL, making the pro bowl three times. He was named as team captain earlier in the year and anchors an offensive line that can struggle at times.
The 2010 first round pick is scheduled to undergo season ending surgery some time this week.
