Reggie Bush was the catalyst in Detroit as the Lions beat up on the Minnesota Vikings 34-24. Once Detroit signed Bush as a free agent, the team was confident that he would have an instant impact on the field.

Bush totaled 191 yards and a touchdown during his debut in the Honolulu blue and silver. The star running back exposed the Minnesota defense as they were dropping their safeties back in order to contain Calvin Johnson.

The fantasy impact of Reggie Bush is huge as the Lions amassed a total of 469 yards. Although Megatron did not have one of his better games, he definitely changed the game with his presence on the field that allowed Bush to make the Vikings pay.

The knock on Bush is that he has problems staying healthy and he just barely avoided the injury bug during yesterday’s game agains the Vikings. In the first quarter alone, Bush dislocated his thumb and pulled his groin muscle. This is particularly concerning for fantasy owners who know all too well that Bush might have to leave the field at any moment.

Owners should start him every week unless the injury bug catches up to him. Expect Bush to continue his success in Detroit as long the competition keys in on stopping Johnson and ignores him.
