After missing the last 10 games of last season with a Lisfranc injury, Maurice Jones-Drew looks like he is back and completely healthy again.
Jones-Drew ran the ball 7 times for 28 yards and played a total of 13 snaps in a Jaguars loss to the Eagles. With the offense still looking shaky, MJD could once again be the only viable offensive threat on the field for the Jags.
It seems now that all MJD needs to do is get his speed back, which he claims he will do in practice during the upcoming week. The coaches are going to take it easy with their stud running back and will more than likely keep him out of the final preseason game against the Atlanta Falcons.
However, when the Jags take the field against the Kansas City Chiefs for the opener, expect the 28-year-old running back to put on a show. With a healthy MJD, his offensive numbers could look much like previous seasons when he was in the top five in rushing in the NFL.
