Houston Texans’ Arian Foster is the 2nd ranked running back in this year’s fantasy draft standings. With an Average Draft Position (ADP) of 3, he’s likely to be taken with one of the top three picks in all fantasy drafts.
The good news is that the Texans finally activated Foster from the active/PUP list. He’s been dealing with calf and back issues since the end of May and no one had any idea when he might return. Despite these lingering injury issues, Foster has continued to rank as one of the top three fantasy backs in football.
Since 2010, Foster has been a fantasy stud rushing for at least 1,200 yards, 10 touchdowns and 40 receptions each season. Foster also boasts an impressive 4.5 yards per carry throughout his career.
While his stats suggest he could push for that first overall fantasy pick, his injuries are obviously a major concern coming into the 2013 season.
Foster is usually a fail-safe top three fantasy draft pick, but now he poses somewhat of a risk to fantasy owners. If you draft Foster, make sure you grab his handcuff, Ben Tate.
