2nd Year Wideout Jermaine Kearse Making Push to Play in Seattle

Washington native Jermaine Kearse is far from a household name, but the Seattle media is honing in on the young receiver ever since the Seahawks lost Percy Harvin to hip surgery.

Kearse is apparently turning heads at practice, but is still far behind the likes of  Doug Baldwin, Sydney Rice, and Golden Tate, the locked in Seattle starters. Not only has Kearse been making a strong case in camp, but during the Seahawks first preseason game, he recorded 31 receiving yards and was able to sneak past the defense to find a touchdown.

Kearse is still playing with the second team with Brady Quinn under center, but if he keeps up the impressive preseason, Carroll may have to consider giving him some playing time to see exactly what he is capable of.
